E.T. & Nucleotides
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005I went to see Spielberg’s “E.T.” during a public park showing at Grant Park (Chicago) this evening. Full as expected. Thankfully I didn’t have to use the restrooms mid-stream because navigating the maze of arbitrarily placed blankets was incredibly painful.
Funny… E.T. has DNA with *6* nucleotides… Responds to epinepharin… but is immune to CPR. What gave scientists the impression that E.T. had a human-like cardiovascular system with a cellular protein response anywhere near that of humans? Ok.. so it was made in 1982. Egads. That doesn’t seem that long ago but it is 1995. Uh. It’s 2005. Crap. I really do turn thirty this year.
